Midday Moment

In this uncertain time, teachers have continued to be a constant support in the lives of their students despite the obstacles that COVID-19 has put in their way.

It is not surprising that teachers have risen to the challenge and found innovative ways to continue to educate their students and support their colleagues.

Social media is full of posts from teachers and support services who are sharing their knowledge and resources to support other educators.

This situation brings with it an increased work-load and extra worry and stress. It is important that teachers take time to look after themselves through this and to set limits on their workload.

The Education Centre Network ESCI (@ESCItweets) would like to continue to support our teachers at this time. Please like and follow your local Education Centre’s Facebook and Twitter accounts to join us for our ‘Midday Moment’.

There are 1,440 minutes in every day, we are asking teachers to use a few of those minutes to be mindful, to focus on their own needs and to hopefully reduce the impact of stress that may be present in their lives.

In conjunction with Ann-Marie Ireland of Breathing Space Ireland, (https://breathingspaceireland.ie/ Facebook: Teacher Breathing Space Ireland each weekday at 12pm we are asking teachers to take a ‘Midday Moment’.
