The festive season is a time of joy and celebration, but it can also bring a unique set of stressors, particularly for teachers and school leaders who must balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. It is a time of year that has difficult associations for some. This workshop is designed to provide practical strategies and insights to help participants mentally and practically prepare for the festive season. The program will focus on managing stress, setting boundaries, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance during this busy time.
Understanding the additional pressures that the festive season can bring, this workshop aims to equip participants with the tools they need to navigate this period with greater ease and enjoyment.
Learner Outcomes:
- Effective Stress Management Techniques: Participants will learn various techniques to manage stress and anxiety associated with the festive season. This includes mindfulness practices, breathing exercises and relaxation methods.
- Work-Life Balance Strategies: Attendees will gain insights into maintaining a healthy work-life balance during the festive season. They will learn how to set realistic expectations, prioritize tasks, and ensure they have time for personal enjoyment and self-care.
- How to handle the Festive season if you don’t like it / or are not feeling festive. Christmas has difficult memories for some. Participants will learn ways to manage their boundaries and wellbeing whilst handling the expectations of others.
- Practical Self-Care Tips: Participants will leave with a set of practical self-care tips that they can implement immediately.
