Online Workshop for Primary and Post Primary teachers and SNAs.

Session Overview: 

Conflict is an inevitable aspect of relating with others. This two-hour workshop provides insights into ways of handling conflict constructively in the school community with individuals, families and colleagues.


Learning Outcomes:

  • An introduction to the ABLE brief intervention model as a way of supporting engagement and listening.
  • Identify the skills that help manage conflict within the school community.
  • Gain insight into Transactional Analysis Theory, a theory of communication.


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Develop your reflective capacity.
  • Gain insights into the benefits of adopting a relational approach (Adopt a relational approach, Build & Boundary, Listen and Empower).
  • Learn how to handle conflict positively and deal with aggression.
