Understanding and Planning for Children with Dyslexia in Primary School - Online Workshop

For Primary Teachers.

In this session, Dr. Trevor O'Brien will consider the characteristics of dyslexia and will focus on the specific challenges children face in the inclusive classroom. Some practical whole class strategies will be examined in order to promote access and participation in an inclusive environment.

Dr. Trevor O’Brien

Dr. Trevor O’ Brien is a lecturer in Inclusive and Special Education at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. Prior to working at MIC, Trevor spent many years as a classroom teacher and as a learning support/resource teacher in Dublin and in Cork. He lectures at undergraduate and post graduate levels and has extensive experience working with practising teachers on the Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education as well as delivering CPD to teachers in local Education Centres
