Online Workshop for Primary and Post-Primary Teachers and SNAs.

Session Overview:

This online session shares insights and skills from Ag Eisteacht's ABLE (Adopt, Build, Listen & Empower) model to help manage boundaries and conversations with parents, colleagues and pupils. It also provides resources to support the promotion of responsive relationships and wellbeing in the school community.

This is a 2-hour facilitated online session with a further hour of pre and post course work.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Enhanced ability to engage with the school community in a sensitive & appropriate manner by building relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • An insight into the value & impact of active listening.
  • Knowledge and inaight into times of change.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Using the ABLE Model. (Adopt a relationship centred approach: what is is and how to adopt it.
  • Times of transition.
  • Making choices.
  • Key elements of empathy.
  • Positive interactions.
