For Primary and Post Primary Teachers and SNAs.

Session Overview:

This 2 hour workshop shares knowledge and skills on the effects of inter-parental conflict on children within the school community. It helps you to understand behaviours so that you can provide more compassionate support and understanding to students.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain insight into the spectrum of conflict, both constructive and destructive.
  • Be familiar with the evidence of the impact of inter-parental/guardian conflict on children.
  • Consider moderating factors and the role of modelling behaviour.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Develop your reflective capacity.
  • Transition Theory.
  • Gain insights ito the benefits of adopting a relationship centred approach (Adopt a relationship centred aproach, Build a Boundary, Listen and Empower).
  • The diferent types of inter-parental conflict.
  • Mediating Factors.
