Supporting Students with Social/Emotional/Behaviour Difficulties

·         This course is aimed at Mainstream and Special Education Teachers at post-primary.

·         The course will explore behaviour and will examine the link between learning and behaviour.

·         It will highlight some assessed conditions and will explore how Functional Behaviour Assessment can be used as a tool for responding to challenging behaviour.

·         Positive Behaviour interventions will also be explored.

Presented by Rose-Marie Flanagan (B.Ed., M.Ed. in SEN)

Rose-Marie has experience working as a mainstream teacher, SET, special class teacher and SENCO. She has worked as both an Advisor and an Associate with the NCSE since 2015. She completed a Master’s in Special Education in MIC in 2011. Her interests are in Inclusion Policy and Practice; Social and Emotional Learning; Positive Behaviour Support for students and Assistive Technology.
