Assistive Technology to support students with difficulties with reading, writing and organising.
Appropriate for students with dyslexia and/or dyspraxia/DCD

During this online workshop students with specific learning difficulties and their parents will be introduced to a variety of assistive technologies to support the needs of a student and their parents with their schoolwork, homework and study.
There will be technologies to support writing difficulties, reading difficulties and challenges around planning and organising.
Assistive technologies covered in the day will include Read and Write Gold and Dragon Naturally Speaking and free alternatives. You will be introduced to mind mapping software in addition to basic IT advice around touch-typing and file management skills.
This workshop is suitable for second level students. It is also suitable for 5th and 6th class students accompanied by a parent/guardian. One booking covers parent and child.
Registration for Parents: Parents will have to register an account on www.cesc.ie before booking their place. The parents can choose the 'Parent' option as their registration type when registering.
