Community of Practice: "Teaching, Learning, Leading & LAOS. - Exploring how the LAOS statements link to our practice as teachers and leaders in our schools."

• Are you a teacher considering school leadership who would like to look at the leadership and management domain of LAOS?
• Are you a teacher seeking to be innovative in the classroom and lead initiatives that improve how your students learn?
• Would you like to be part of a community of teachers who enjoy interrogating their own practice and pushing themselves to be reflective practioners?

This Community of Practice (CoP) will facilitate teachers from both Primary and Post-Primary classrooms to come together to discuss and share their practice. In each session we will unpack some of the standards of the LAOS document with direct support from Marie Sheehan, a post-primary Deputy Principal with 20+ years experience in education and 8 of those years in senior school leadership. This CoP will provide impactful support for teachers who wish to focus on their own practice and reflect in a collaborative way with other teachers in a professional learning environment. The aim is that they may return to their classrooms full of renewed energy and enthusiasm in their role, as well as a better understanding of the impact of their role on their students.
