Engaging Every Student: Practical Strategies for Behaviour Management and Lesson Design

Academic engagement is central to creating a positive classroom environment and supporting student progress. This webinar will explore practical strategies that combine effective behaviour management with engaging lesson design. Teachers will be guided through approaches such as using hooks and starter tasks to capture attention, incorporating formative assessment to maintain focus during class, and maximising plenaries to consolidate learning. The session will also demonstrate how online formative assessments can serve as meaningful and motivating homework. While the examples and resources are drawn from History lessons, all strategies can be easily adapted for use across subjects.
